Instead of doing my MA work, I spend most of my time visiting this bookstore. This place is my all-time favourite bookstore in Bath - maybe in the whole UK. I could spend hours in here, browsing all of the different titles. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. What makes this bookstore experience, for me, is the ability to have a cup of tea whilst exploring.
I love going to the basement to check out philosophy and feminist literature.
Before Toppings moved to their new location in York Street, I spent my first day in Bath drinking tea in their store whilst reading The Little Friend by Donna Tartt. I was nervous about moving to a new city. However, I felt so much better after visiting this store hence why I regularly make sure to pop in as much as possible.
I recommend visiting the store's website if you want to stay up to date with all of their amazing book events! To get the most out of your visit here, make sure you go on a day when you aren't super busy.
I think the ultimate goal would be to visit all of the Toppings' stores in the UK!
